Terrifying because I have never done anything like this before, not just because it's supposed to be unsettling for the character in the scene. This is probably the most intimidating project I've ever done, using Houdini which I don't know much about, and camera matching in Maya. First I need to figure out the Camera specs so that I can input them into the Camera settings in Maya. I'm planning on watching a couple more tutorials and asking some of my teachers for help for that part as I just received the Focal Length and type of camera I was using. While receiving that information I then began experimenting with making water in Houdini. With the help of my teacher we did a couple different experiments to try and figure out a) how to use fluids in Houdini but also b) to play with the settings and try and make something similar to what I plan on making in the future once I model out my scene in Maya. The first attempt was just playing with Particle fluids which was nice and quick for getting the idea that I had for the scene down. It wasn't as details as I wanted but it didn't look too bad. The second attempt was with Flip Fluids which is a more in depth fluids network. We had to troubleshoot it quite a bit because it didn't exactly act like water really would but we figure out by adding a little bit of viscosity would help stop making the water spread unrealistically thin when it spread, keeping its edges closer.
He also mentioned since in the scene there's a carpet to make a wet map that would make the water appear like it was first seeping into the carpet before the water flooded over top. Also adding white water over top would help make the water as it was splashing and spilling from the corner of the walls more realistic.

Being given four different cars to choose from we're supposed to plan out a couple cinematic shots for a car commercial. There's a band I love that has great aesthetic colours that I wanted to incorporate into my commercial. Also some ideas for the kind of atmosphere and setting that I want to have my car in. Here's just a quick set up of the scene, it will probably change but mostly I just set it up to get my initial idea down. playing with some Arnold lighting I also came up with a quick render of the rough idea I have. I'm thinking of making more neon lighting to highlight the car and brighten the scene but I'm hoping to stay with this colour scheme.
After finally getting down Topology I like, I then moved from Maya into Zbrush to begin refining my model, sculpting details in along with fixing and proportions that I couldn't seem to in Maya. I ended up making her head a bit smaller and added her tail to her mesh to not only make it easier when I rig her but to fix some of the messy topology that was pinching.
